01 about
I am a transdisciplinary artist. I studied architecture and initially worked within public realm design. I then became an artist assistant before continuing my studies in fine art. I am currently combining my interest in materiality with a socially engaged practice as a vessel for experiential project-based work.

This body of work is a commentary on the microscopic world that surrounds our daily lives. I am fascinated by uncovering and fostering a newfound appreciation for our immediate yet unseen surroundings. Inspired by archaeology, I developed processes and tools for new types of mark-making.
Illness and the effects that medicine and toxins have on the body have fed into the narrative of the work, exposing not only a self-awareness of our bodies but also a potential inability to understand the internal changes we might feel. This theme extends to a visceral, site-specific sensation of pain, evoking the feeling of something foreign lodged within the body. In the work I draw parallels between all living things. Eco-conscious, I strive for a sustainable practice by using found and locally sourced natural materials. The work is playful and invites personal interpretations and tactile interactions, creating an experience that is both private in thought and public in dialogue.
